DESCRIPTION OF THE ETNOBLOG ASSOCIATION
The Intercultural Association ETNOBLOG promotes intercultural integration , education and social ethics through the realization of aggregative events and the creation of multimedia info rmative supports. The Association's main activity is the organization of festivals, even as competitions, cons idered as aggregative moments for the community.
The Association, a non profit-making organisation, has exclusively cultural, educative and integrative purposes. Etnoblog is a non-party and democratic structure that guarantees to all the Associates free expression of their own thought and ethical, religious, cultural and political convictions.
Currently Etnoblog is pledged in the following activities:

Place of meetings. Etnoblog promotes meetings to deepening cultural understanding and raise awareness of social and topical problems. Amongst recent events we can mention: the round table about the topic "Juvenile policy and ways of active citizenship", with the participations of: Ettore Rosato, candidate Mayor of Trieste; Maria Teresa Bassa Poropat, candidate President of the Province of Trieste; Alessandro Carmi, communal councilman; the presentation of t Max Mauro's book “My house is where I'm happy. - Place of photography: Etnoblog collects the tam tam that arrive from every part of the world creating a journey with an eye on the five continents;
- Space of theatre: the Association has organized various theatrical evenings in collaboration with actors and local theatre companies (Compagnia Petit soleil, Teatro Nomade);
- Place of music: since its origin, music is the main protagonists of Etnoblog , with djsets, live performances of local or renowened artists and interpreters of ethnic music. We can mention: Red Worms' Farm and Oliver, Bachibaflax Live, Gonzales and Rydells, Soul Bandido, Jade, the realize of Springfive Festival, dj sets with Electrosacher, Aziz, Turnmaster and Geiger, Mike Sponza, the «Sonata per 4 giradischi e 2 mixer» conducted by Azazel&Nanou, performance of music, video and tango with Eduardo Contizanetti, Disco Drive and September10th, Lounge Attack, Wet-Tones, the dvd presentation of 3 Allegri ragazzi morti, reggae night with Dj Fog, vocalist Mc Steven, «John Belushi Night» with Sunrise band, Trabant, Makako Jump and Groove Arbano Dj Set, Herbie Goins soul singer accompanied with Mike Sponza Band.
- Place of video : a video structure is operative inside the Association and is concerning with the production and the realization of videoclip, featurefilms and shortfilms;
- Place of gym : body-mind practices for old people, neo-mothers and children; dance courses, massages, different kind of workshops , that allow to mix cultural and social moments with recreational one.
- Place for children: play activities dedicated to children.
Colors project: sponsored by Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia – Direzione Centrale Istruzione, Cultura, Sport e pace – Struttura stabile per gli immigrati, the project is managed by Etnoblog , in partnership with: Azienda per i Servizi Sanitari n. 1 “Triestina”, Comitato D.C.P. onlus, Cooperativa Sociale “La Piazzetta”–Radio Fragola and Cooperativa di Informazione Friulana. The projects aims are: to examine in detail the phenomenon of immigration and related issues; to promote info rmative activities to foster greater social solidarity; and to encourage the participation of immigrants in several projects. Festival Etnoblog 2004 : in July 2004 Etnoblog has organized at Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano Sabbiadoro the multicultural Festival Etnoblog .
